MEMBERSHIP, CATEGORIES, FEES & CONDITIONS<\/h2>\nMembership\n<\/strong><\/h>\n

IIM offers the following categories of membership. Interested applicants are expected to pay the prescribed fee(s) to maintain their membership.
\n\nIndividual Membership of IIM is open to any Individual or Person operating within the information management or related discipline with interest in the objectives and purposes of IIM.
\nStudent Membership is restricted to candidates undertaking a full-time information management or related professional course of study in any recognized higher institution.
\nCorporate Membership is offered to any business interested in the objectives and purposes of IIM.
\nAcceptance of a member is subject to approval by the IIM Governing Council. <\/p>\n\n\n

MEMBERSHIP TYPES<\/h2>\n

Student Member (STIIM)<\/strong>
\nAs a student interested in developing the skills and experiences for your future career in the industry, IIM membership is a sure way to kick-off in your IM career.
\n\nAs the premier Institute for IM in Africa, membership of IIM is widely recognized and respected. It gives you the opportunity to set yourself apart from your peers by demonstrating your competence and dedication to professional development.\n\n \n\n<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\n\nStudents in this category must show evidence of studentship as at the time of applying for student membership and are encouraged to undertake the institute\u2019s training and development programs. \nUpon your successful graduation from your studies, your membership will be transferred through the institute\u2019s upgrade program.
\nInterested student members can also attempt the upgrade program\/examination at any point in time to advance to the next level of IIM membership.<\/p>\n\n\n

Graduate Member (GMIIM)<\/h3>\n

Graduate Membership (GMIIM) is targeted at fresh graduate interested in Information Management career.
IIM graduate membership provides the appropriate level to begin the journey toward a professional IM career.
\n\nIIM global recognition is the key towards ensuring a successful Information Management Career. <\/p>\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/h3>\n

Candidates in this category must show evidence of graduation as at the time of applying for graduate membership and are encouraged to undertake the institute\u2019s training and development programs.
\nInterested candidates are expected to attend the IIM membership pre-induction training program prior to being inducted. \n <\/p>\n\n\n

Associate Member (AMIIM)<\/h3>\n

Associate Membership (AMIIM) is specifically aimed at those who are at the start of their career in IM and taking their first step on the ladder to full professional membership.
\n\nBecome an Associate member today, for a rewarding start of your professional career. By agreeing to IIM Code of Conduct as you join, you will receive both your membership card and certificate that underlines your professionalism after satisfying the membership requirements.
\n\nYou can start using your new letters after your name (AMIIM) on your business cards and resume. AMIIM enables you to stay in touch with the IM community in Africa and worldwide. <\/p>\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/h3>\n

Applicant must satisfy any of the two following conditions if interested in this membership grade:
\n\nMust have been a graduate of any recognized institution of higher learning or a professional body for not less than three (2) years;
\nMust have a minimum qualification of OND in any discipline
\nMust have passed the prescribed upgrade examination <\/p>\n\n\n

Professional Member (PMIIM)<\/h3>\n

Achieve industry recognition and set yourself apart from your peers with IIM Professional Membership (PMIIM).
\n\nProfessional Membership portrays both competence and a dedication to keep pace with advancing knowledge and the increasing expectations and requirements of your profession. <\/p>\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/h3>\n

In order to register as a professional member with the Institute, an applicant must hold a qualification not below the followings:
\n\nA degree from any University, Higher National Diploma or Ordinary National Diploma of any Polytechnic (with 5 years post graduation experience) recognized by the Membership Committee of the Institute.
\nIIM Professional Certification (IMP I \u2013 III)
\nIIM Master Certification \u2013 (CDMP\u00ae, CHIMP\u00ae, CISP\u00ae, CRIMP\u00ae)
\nOther qualifications approved by the Membership Committee of the Institute. <\/p>\n\n\n

Senior Professional Member (SPMIIM)<\/h3>\n

Set yourself apart from your peers with IIM Senior Professional Membership (SPMIIM). A recognition for your competence managing and administeringInformation Management resources (People, Process & Technology).
\n\nSenior Professional Membership portrays both competence and a dedication to keep pace with advancing knowledge and the increasing expectations and requirements of your profession.<\/p>\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/h3>\n

In order to register as a Senior Professional Member with the Institute, an applicant must have a minimum of five (5) direct reports under them and hold a qualification not below the followings:
\n\nMin Qualification of a degree from any University, Higher National Diploma from any Polytechnic (with a min of 10 years post graduation experience) recognized by the Membership Committee of the Institute.
\nIIM Professional Certification (IMP I \u2013 III)
\nIIM Master Certification (CDMP\u00ae, CHIMP\u00ae, CISP\u00ae, CRIMP\u00ae)
\nOther qualifications approved by the Membership Committee of the Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n

Fellow (FIIM)<\/h3>\n

The grade of Fellowship comprises the most senior and respected professionals in the field of IM.
\n\nFellowship can be awarded if one or more of the following criteria are met:
\n\nEminence:<\/strong> An eminent individual will have general recognition and acknowledgement across the IM \/ IT community and beyond. They could have a broad knowledge or be recognized as an expert in a particular field, and should have made a significant contribution to IM and its perception to the general public.
<\/strong> \n\nAuthority: An authoritative individual recognized and respected for their knowledge and expertise in a particular specialism, such as the development and application of a technique which has become widely used across the IT\/IM community.
<\/strong> \n\nSeniority: Typically, an individual in a senior IM \/ IT position, who for example, is managing a minimum of twenty (20) staff and\/or has responsibility for a large project team or department.
\n\nApplicants will typically have a minimum of fifteen (15) years IM \/ IT specialist experience.
\n\nFellowship (FIIM) can be combined with any of the IIM Certification (IMP + Masters) status.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>Fellowship Application Process
\nAny two fellow members can nominate a person they think is worthy of IIM Fellowship and any full member of IIM (SPMIIM) can be nominated. The member must have given outstanding service to the profession or brought distinction to it over and above the normal course of the individual\u2019s job.
<\/strong>\n\nConferment of fellowship is dependent on the ULTIMATE DECISION of the Membership committee, approved by Governing Council of the Institute. <\/p>\n\n\n<\/strong>Corporate (CORMIIM) <\/strong>
\nCorporate membership is open to any corporate organization and government establishments within and outside Nigeria. <\/h>\n<\/strong>Requirements: <\/strong>
\nInstitutions\/Organizations interested in this membership grade are expected to have in their employment, a minimum of five (5) employees before they can be eligible for the institute\u2019s corporate membership. <\/h>\n<\/strong>Online Application Process – Apply Today!!! <\/strong>
