MEMBERSHIP, CATEGORIES, FEES & CONDITIONS<\/h2>\n

Membership<\/span><\/h3>\nThe Institute of Information Management (IIM) offers the following membership categories:<\/span>\n\nStudent Membership<\/span>\n\nAvailable to full-time students enrolled in an information management or related professional course at a recognized higher institution.<\/span>\n\nIndividual Membership<\/span>\n\n<\/span>Open to professionals in information management or related disciplines who support IIM’s objectives and mission.<\/span>\n\nCorporate Membership<\/span>\n\nOffered to businesses that align with IIM’s objectives and purpose<\/span>\nAll membership applications require approval from the IIM Executive Council. Members must pay the prescribed fees to maintain their status.<\/span>\n\n\n

MEMBERSHIP TYPES<\/h2>\n\nStudent Member (STIIM)<\/span>\n\nKickstart Your Information Management Career with IIM!<\/strong>  As a student aspiring to build essential skills and gain industry experience, IIM membership is the perfect way to launch your career in data and information management. As the premier institute for information management, IIM membership is widely recognized and respected. It sets you apart from your peers by showcasing your competence and commitment to professional growth.<\/span>

Student Member Requirements:<\/h3>

Applicants must provide proof of active student status at the time of applying for student membership. Student members are encouraged to participate in IIM\u2019s training and development programs.<\/font><\/p>\n

<\/font><\/p>

Upon graduation, membership will be upgraded through the institute\u2019s upgrade program. Additionally, student members may take the upgrade examination at any time to advance to the next level of IIM membership.<\/span><\/p>\n\nGraduate Member (GMIIM)<\/span>\n\n\n\nGraduate Membership (GMIIM) is designed for recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in Information Management. It provides the ideal starting point for building a professional IM career. With IIM\u2019s global recognition, members gain a strong foundation for a successful future in the field.<\/span>\n\n\n

Graduate Member Requirements:<\/h3>\nGraduate Membership Requirements\n\nApplicants must provide proof of graduation at the time of applying for graduate membership. They are encouraged to participate in IIM\u2019s training and development programs.\n\nAdditionally, candidates must complete the IIM membership pre-induction training program before being inducted.<\/span>\n\n\n\nAssociate Member (AMIIM)<\/span>\n\n

IIM Associate Membership (AMIIM) is designed for individuals at the beginning of their Data and Information Management (IM) career, taking the first step toward full professional membership.\n\nBecome an Associate member today to kick-start your professional journey. By agreeing to the IIM<\/strong> Code of Conduct,<\/strong> you will receive a membership card and certificate, which highlight your professionalism upon meeting the membership requirements.\n\nOnce inducted, you can proudly use the title AMIIM on your business cards and resume. AMIIM also provides an excellent opportunity to stay connected with the IM community globally.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

Associate Member Requirements:<\/h3>\nApplicant must satisfy any of the two following conditions if interested in this membership grade:<\/span>
\n\nMust have been a graduate of any recognized institution of higher learning or a professional body for not less than three (2) years\nMust have a minimum qualification of OND in any discipline\nMust have passed the prescribed upgrade examination\n\n\n\n\nProfessional Member (PMIIM)<\/span>\n\n

\n\nProfessional Membership portrays both competence and a dedication to keep pace with advancing knowledge and the increasing expectations and requirements of your profession.<\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n

Professional Member Requirements:<\/h3>\n
To register as a professional member with the Institute, an applicant must hold one of the following qualifications:<\/div>\n\nA degree from any recognized university, Higher National Diploma (HND), or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from a recognized polytechnic\n5 years of post-graduation experience, as approved by the Membership Committee of the Institute.\nIIM Professional Certification (IMP I \u2013 III)\nIIM Master Certification (e.g., CDMP\u00ae, CHIMP\u00ae, CISP\u00ae, CRIMP\u00ae etc)\nOther qualifications approved by the Membership Committee of the Institute.\n\n\n\n\nSenior Professional Member (SPMIIM)<\/span>\n\nSet yourself apart from your peers with IIM Senior Professional Membership (SPMIIM), a recognition of your competence in managing and administering Information Management resources (People, Process, and Technology).\n\nSenior Professional Membership demonstrates both your expertise and commitment to staying ahead of advancing knowledge, as well as meeting the increasing expectations and requirements of your profession.<\/span>

<\/p>\n\n\n

Senior Professional Member Requirements:<\/h3>\nTo register as a Senior Professional Member with the Institute, an applicant must meet the following requirements:\n\nA minimum of five (5) direct reports under their supervision.\n\nA qualification not below one of the following:<\/span>\n\nA degree from any recognized university, or a Higher National Diploma (HND) from any recognized polytechnic
\nAt least 10 years of post-graduation experience, as approved by the Membership Committee of the Institute.
\nIIM Professional Certification (IMP I \u2013 III)
\nIIM Master Certification (e.g., CDMP\u00ae, CHIMP\u00ae, CISP\u00ae, CRIMP\u00ae etc.)
\nOther qualifications approved by the Membership Committee of the Institute\n\n\n\n\nFellow Membership (FIIM)<\/span>\n\n The grade of Fellow represents the most senior and respected professionals in the field of data and Information Management (IM). Fellowship may be awarded if one or more of the following criteria are met:<\/span>\n\nEminence<\/strong>\n\nAn eminent individual is widely recognized and acknowledged across the IM\/IT community and beyond. They may possess broad knowledge or be recognized as an expert in a particular field, having made significant contributions to IM and its public perception.<\/span>\n\nAuthority<\/b>\n\nAn authoritative individual is respected for their knowledge and expertise in a specialized area, such as the development and application of techniques that have become widely used across the IM\/IT community.<\/span>

<\/p>\n\nSeniority<\/b>\n\nApplicants must typically have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of IM\/IT specialist experience. Fellowship (FIIM) can also be combined with any IIM Certification (IMP + Masters) status.<\/span>

<\/p>\n\nFellow Application Process<\/span>\n\nAny two fellow members can nominate an individual they believe is worthy of IIM Fellowship. Additionally, any full member of IIM (SPMIIM) may be nominated. The nominee must have demonstrated outstanding service to the profession or brought distinction to it beyond the normal course of their duties.

<\/p><\/span>The conferment of Fellowship is subject to the ULTIMATE DECISION<\/strong> of the Membership Committee, with final approval by the Executive Council of the Institute.<\/span>\n\nCorporate Membership (CORMIIM)<\/span>\n\nCorporate membership is open to any corporate organization or government establishment, across the globe.<\/span>\n

Corporate Member Requirements:<\/h3>\nInstitutions\/Organizations interested in this membership grade are expected to have in their employment, a minimum of five (5) employees before they can be eligible for the institute\u2019s corporate membership.<\/span>\nYour application will need to include the details of two supporters who can validate your experience. It is preferable, although not essential, that one of your supporters is an existing IIM Fellow.<\/span>\nApplication process
